Toefl Preparation and Scholarship Seminar 2024
On Saturday September 21, 2024, Toefl Preparation and Scholarship Seminar was held. Precisely organized by the Language Development Division of HIMAPRODI PBI UINSA. The Seminar welcomed 2 speakers. First speaker is Sri Surya Dewi, M.Pd., M.A that focusing on Toefl Preparation topic. She is one of the Qualified IELTS and TOEFL at Kampung Inggris Nexus, Pare. Second speaker is Aisyah, S.Pd, focusing on the Scholarship topic. She is one of the PPSL Scholarship awardee.
The event began with registration to get consumption provided by the HIMAPRODI PBI committee. The opening of the event consisted of remarks and opening by the MC. The first speech was given by the chief organizer of the event, Ais Pinki Roihanah. Then, continued by Wahyu Puspita Sari as the chief of HIMAPRODI PBI UINSA. Furthermore, there was a speech given from Maam Afida Safriani, M.A., PhD., as the secretary of the English Language Education Department.
This event ran in an orderly and relaxed manner. The next agenda delivery of material from first speaker, Sri Surya Dewi, M.Pd., who provided tips and tricks to get a high score on toefl. She also provided new knowledge in understanding TOEFL. Meanwhile, the second speaker, Aisyah, S.Pd., discussed information and how to get a scholarship. She also gave tips and tricks for getting scholarships and also utilizing technologies to find out various scholarships. Both speakers provided new knowledge for the audience. In accordance with the event theme, namely “Unlock the International Future with Excelling TOEFL Mastery and Deepening Scholarship Insights”.
In the middle of the event, after the first speaker gave the material, there was an ice breaking agenda. This agenda featured acoustic music performed by HIMAPRODI PBI members from the Skill and Talent Division. The participants sang along and got carried away. After that, the second speaker gave her material to the audience. Then, the next agenda was the documentation of presentation of certificates and souvenirs to the speakers. To conclude the event, the participants, organizers, and speakers were invited to join the documentation session.
