Stop Asian Hate
Stop AAPI Hate is a nonprofit organization that runs by AAPI Hate Reporting Center, which tracks incidents of hate and discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in the United States. The organization was formed in 2020 in response to racist attacks on the Asian community as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Data Stop AAPI Hate recorded at least 500 incidents in the first two months of this year. If you look back the last year, the number is certainly higher, reaching 3,795 complaints. The majority of reports noted that 68% were verbal abuse. While 11% involved physical attacks.
Hate crimes against Asians and their descendants in the United States (US) are on the rise. This has happened since the start of the global coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in early 2020. The rising tide of violence against Asians led many toward racial motives after news of the Atlanta area killings spread across the country. However, cases of racism against Asians in America have not emerged recently. Cases of racism against Asia in America have been going on for several centuries. Everyone has the right to their own life. No matter their race, gender, religion and others, they are still human beings who have the right to live. No one has the right to oppress people who have done nothing wrong. Fight the virus but not the sufferer. STOP RACISM!!
